Consider Rocco Perri, a Hamilton mobster of the 1920s and a major figure in illicit alcohol circles who was widely known as "the King of the Bootleggers". For all his importance and his extensive criminal activities Perri did not have a money laundering system as such. It was more a money-hiding system and a rudimentary one at that.
