About The Student Guide to DNA Based Computers

Ordering Information

The purpose of this kit is to introduce a class of up to 30 students to the philosophy of scientific models as well as to demonstrate how DNA based computers work and what they can do. The target audience ranges from high school to college students. This model of DNA based computers can be presented in a form simple enough for students with little or no DNA background to appreciate and complex enough to challenge very experienced students. This model can be integrated into classes in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, mathematics, computer science or physics, depending upon what aspects the instructor chooses to stress. An internet support page includes an interactive question and answer page and links to additional resources.
