"Nobody knows with certainty what is required by one who likes to become a successful entrepreneur. For instance, when buying exclusive rights, you start a business from zero and have to work hard to reinforce it. You must do all you can: sweep the floors, change the bulbs, keep the accounts, engage and form the staff... usually no profit will be registered the first year. If you are lucky you will be on the same level as when you started. But the money comes later.
That is why you have to be tenacious, and as Mr. Meshulam Riklis of the Rapid American Corporation said: "Be foolish, mad and a bit naïve when you face a new business". Be foolish enough to believe that what you are doing is attainable... Be mad in such a way that you dedicate your energy in order to get what you want... be foolish enough to not stop when the others throw stones at you. Be sufficiently naïve to understand that you cannot do everything by yourself, so place your trust in others as you proceed. To find time to stop and reflect is indispensable". "We are not managing this business for the next decade, but for the next generation." |
