Advanced Graphics Division Objective:

Silicon Graphics' Advanced Graphics Divisions' charter is to push leading edge supercomputing and computer graphics technologies to build the most powerful visual computing systems in the world. Some of the applications which utilize these systems include: scientific visualization, computational fluid dynamics, virtual reality, computational chemistry, visual simulation for flight, marine, and driver training, image processing, seismic interpretation and visualization for oil and gas exploration, real-time 3D digital video effects for television, digital film and video post-processing, among others.

Hot Areas:

High growth areas for hiring are: H/W and S/W graphics (ASIC H/W design and algorithm S/W) state of the art graphics technology, visualization technology, video and compression, systems S/W, applications/technical marketing.

Degrees Preferred:

BS/MS CS, EE or PHD
