Network Systems Division (NSD)

Network Systems Division Objective:

The Network Systems Division is responsible for the full line of CHALLENGE servers, and is devoted to establishing Silicon Graphics in the database, file, and media server markets through both direct and indirect channels.

NSD is also dedicated to discovering and developing new ways to search for, store, manage, and use data, through what we call data mining. Data mining is the process of executing complex, multi-variable pattern recognition tasks on huge quantities of data to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The CHALLENGE family of servers is designed specifically to manage data to that end.
