Access to the Meudon site
Address: place Jules Janssen 92195 Meudon, at the end of the
Avenue du Château.
Different ways to come from Paris:
- By 2 different roads :
- By the périphérique, exit at Quai d'Issy, take the
directions of Issy les Moulineaux, Sèvres then Meudon
- By highway 118, from the Pont de Sèvres,
take the direction of Chartres Orléans, exit at Meudon
Sèvres then go to Meudon.
- By 2 different ways using the SNCF (French railways) :
Using Paris-Montparnasse station,
take the trains going to
Sèvres Rive Gauche (one each quarter of an hour) or (rarely)
direction Versailles-Chantiers, Rambouillet, Chartes, etc....
- 3rd station: Meudon (after Vanves-Malakoff and Clamart). Outside of the
station, turn to the right, 200m afterwards turn again to the right
then straight ahead up to the top of the hill.
- 4th station: Meudon-Bellevue. Outside of the station, turn on the left
the avenue du Château: the entry of th Observatory is on the top of the
hill.
- The RER ligne C :
Take the train going in the direction of
Versailles Rive Gauche and stop at the Meudon-Val Fleury station. Direction
Meudon not Clamart (you'll be better ask your way...)
From 15 to 20 minutes walk (climbing!).
- Subway + bus :
Line 12 (Porte de la
Chapelle-Mairie d'Issy). At the terminus Mairie d'Issy take the bus 169
direction Pont de Sèvres, stop at the Place Rabelais
or Eglise de Meudon.
Don't forget: it is always on the top of the hill, whichever way you choose.
