Marc Andreessen

Marc Andreessen is a research programmer at NCSA, where he devotes his life to NCSA Mosaic. Now that Mosaic 2.0 is released, he hopes to once again experience sleep. In his spare time he drinks coffee.

Joseph Hardin

Joseph Hardin has been the Associate Director for Software Development at NCSA from 1992 to the present. Previously he was the Manager for the Software Development Group, the coordinator of the Academic Affiliates Program at NCSA, and a visiting research associate at NCSA. His experience includes teaching in the department of Speech Communication at the University of Georgia at Athens; and graduate work in Linguistics, Sociology and Communications at the University of Illinois.

Joseph has worked as a consultant in business computer communications, database management, and office organization. He was editor for The Champaign-Urbana Weekly news magazine from 1979 to 1982, where he also wrote the wine column. He has received a number of development grants and awards in the area of scientific software development. He has spoken extensively on workstation tools for computational science and the human dimensions of collaboration technologies in cyberspace. He lives in the country where he heats with wood.

Paul Jones

Paul Jones has worked as a systems programmer on virtually every operating system of every computer owned by the University of North Carolina over the past 15 years. He has still managed to keep his DOS experience to a minimum. Most recently his project list has included the SunSITE project, a very large Internet server that uses ftp, WAIS, gopher, and WWW for distribution. Mr. Jones holds a BS in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and an MFA in Poetry from Warren Wilson College. His poetry has recently appeared in Poetry, Southern Review, Southern Poetry Review, Hellas, and Southern Humanities Review. He has been awarded a fellowship in writing from the North Carolina Arts Council and his book, "What the Welsh and Chinese Have In Common," was selected for a publication award by Maxine Kumin.

Pushpendra Mohta

Pushpendra Mohta is the Director of Engineering at the California Education and Research Federation Network (CERFnet) where he designs new network services. He has over five years experience in network engineering and operations and is well versed in current and emerging networking hardware and software technology. He has helped establish Internet connections in US, Brazil, Fiji, India, Korea, Mexico and Venezuela. He supports a large user base with widely varying levels of familiarity with the Internet. He teaches seminars on Network Management and is active in the deliberations of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

Under his direction, the CERFnet engineering and operation staff maintain a reliable and robust multi protocol network with over 150 routers, 125 links and a rich and complex external connectivity.

Pushpendra recently assumed additional duties as the Director of Technology for InterNIC Information Services, a NSF funded project charged with providing Network Information Services to the entire US Internet community.

He holds a Masters Degree in Communication Theory and Systems from the University Of California, San Diego, and is currently on parole from a doctorate program.
