Determining an Electronic Mail Address

• Get it from recipient

• Consult local mail administrator

• Use the finger command (UNIX)

• Use whois or other "White Pages" service (UNIX)

• Use the Usenet user list. Mail to:

           mail-server@pit-manager.mit.edu
         

  with the text:

           send usenet-addresses/<search_string>
         

• Use Knowbot Information Service (KIS):

         telnet sol.bucknell.edu 185
         telnet nri.reston.va.us 185
         

• Send mail to:
