NUCLEAR WASTE SHIP STEAMS TOWARD HAWAII

The Pacific Pintail's position (1900 GMT) is 09 degrees 44 minutes North, and 153 degrees and 01 minutes West. The Pintail's course is 310 degrees and the ship's speed is 14 knots. We are now some 500 miles away from the nearest Island--Hawaii.

It's Saturday, the weather is clear and we continue on our course tracking this nuclear waste ship which has come more than half way around the globe. Ship work continues as usual. Nothing new to report.
