"My job involves the coordination of all the departments in the Museum and the presentation of their work the outside world -- including donors, the general p ublic, and every imaginable stakeholder: the press, other institutions locally and globally, government agencies, and many more. I received a Ph.D. in art history in 1981 from Harvard University and was a curator at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for si x years after that before becoming director in 1987."
