Heating and ventilation

Automatic climate control as standard, with separate automatic control of heating and cooling output, air volume and air distribution for the left and right sides to preselected temperatures. Manual override functions: button for windscreen defrosting with maximum heated air and controlled air volume. Air distribution switch for headspace, body-area and footwell air vents, continuous booster control; air flow control by four control wheels for the air vents in the centre of the dashboard; choice of fresh, heated or cooled air for the centre vents; time-controlled recirculated air setting; electret dust filter. Optionally available: activated charcoal filter for the entire interior (standard in S 600) and separate air conditioning for the rear seats, auxiliary heater for the stationary car (with remote control on request).
