As far as we know, Earth is the only place in the universe where life exists.
The Royal Tyrrell Museum celebrates the long history and spectacular diversity of that life. From the tiniest grains of pollen to the mightiest dinosaurs, the Museum presents an amazing diversity of ancient life.
Set in the Alberta badlands, the Museum opened in September of 1985. Four hundred thousand visitors were hoped for that first year. Nearly six hundred thousand came.
They came to experience the power and excitement of some of the most remarkable fossil displays anywhere, in Canada's only institution devoted entirely to palaeontology.
