Red Deer

The city of Red Deer is located roughly half-way between Calgary and Edmonton, 1 1/2 hours along highway 2 from both. The economy is based largely on agriculture and oil, but it's location between Calgary and Edmonton make it a convienient spot to locate businesses which cater to both cities.

The City itself has a pleasent small town atmosphere. It has one of the more extensive set of bike and pedestrian paths in the province, being centered around the Red Deer river.
