5 - Further work

5.3 - Extending to HTML+

  1. Mathematics, figures and tables

These will be translated properly as soon as an HTML+ browser becomes available. The module that parses mathematics in the MIF already exists. All that is needed is to reconfigure this to output mathematics marked up with HTML+, when this is finalised. The management of captions for figures and tables will also be solved and the contents of each cell of a table will be translated for what it is, i.e. text for text, mathematics for mathematics, graphics for graphics, ...

  2. Character sets

WebMaker will incorporate the character set extension options of HTML+.

  3. Other extensions...

Other extensions, for example more HTML formatting options, will be incorporated and the configuration possibilities extended to allow as much flexibility to the author as possible.
