What is the Apple Tech Info Library?

  • The Apple Tech Info Library is Apple's official technical support database. It contains over 5,000 articles on all aspects of Apple products, past and present. It is updated weekly with new information and is the same database that Apple employees use to answer questions to customers via the Apple Assistance Center at 1-800-SOS-APPL in the USA.

You can search the library by simply typing in a word or phrase and then clicking the Search button. A list of all articles that contain the word or phrase you entered will be displayed in a scrolling field. You can then double-click on an individual title to view the article.

You can operators such as AND, OR or NOT between words to expand or limit your search. For example, typing in "PowerBook and Printer" will give you a listing of all articles which contain the words PowerBook and Printer.

If you find something in the Tech Info Library you don't think is right, please use the Apple Feedback form to send your suggestion or feedback. The Support Information Services group which updates and maintains the Apple Tech Info Library at Apple is very interested in your ideas. We'll do our best to incorporate your feedback and suggestions into our online offerings.

If you have any questions about using the Apple Tech Info Library, please use the Feedback form.
