Apple Computer

About this server. . .

Welcome to www.apple.com, Apple's point of entry Web Server.

Our purpose is to make it as easy as possible for you to find the information that you want to find in Apple's webspace. We are constantly reviewing (and hopefully improving) your access to this information and your suggestions are welcomed.

The information you will find here is spread over several servers throughout the world and is the work of hundreds of Apple employees. We believe that it is important to give our employees the power to communicate with our customers without multiple layers of management review. We hope that this will give you a richer experience while you are here, but occasionally you may find some rough edges (like typographic errors) that might have been caught if everything went through editorial review. Feel free to point these out to us if you are so inclined.

There are some things that people want to find here, but probably won't:

Sometimes, particularly when we have just released a new product or have made some new software available over the net, we find that one or more of our servers will be swamped. We try to avoid this situation, but if it occurs, try again in a few days and you will likely get through.

www.apple.com runs off of an Apple Work Group Server 9150 running MacHTTP under MacOS. The front graphic is served by an Apple Macintosh Quadra 950 also running MacHTTP under MacOS. This service is administered by the Apple Library and Apple's Advanced Technology Group.

We hope that you have a great experience here.
