Java Applet Programming Contest
Official Rules

No purchase is necessary to participate or to win.

In celebration of the formal announcement of HotJava at SunWorld '95, Sun Microsystems is sponsoring a Java applet programming contest. We're awarding some great prizes for HotJava applets that showcase the potential of Java programming on the Internet. Java is Sun Microsystems' new object-oriented programming language for Internet-aware, embedded applications.

Applets are interactive programs written in the Java language which run from within a Web page. To learn all about applet programming, the Java language and API and to see a list of Helpful Hints for successful applet writers, refer to the HotJava Documentation page.

No responsibility is assumed for lost, misdirected, illegible, or late entries or for failed computer transmissions or technical failures.
