Welcome to the 1995 Apple Design Project!
At Apple, we believe that good design is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration, interpersonal communication, and a constant input of new vision, insight, and talent. These beliefs are the foundations of the Apple Design Project. The Design Project, now in its fourth year, makes it possible for the members of Apple's design staff to work directly with design students from all over the world. The results are invaluable: for students, real-world design experience and guidance from Apple designers; for universities, help in building programs teaching interdisciplinary design; and for Apple, the pleasure and stimulation of working with emerging design talent.

In the 1995 Design Project, each of ten universities will field two or more independent design teams, each responding to a design brief provided by Apple. The work of these teams will be evaluated by faculty advisors, the criteria being teamwork, process, and excellence of design. One team from each university will be selected to present its work at a public event at Apple in July.

We look forward to an exciting Design Project in 1995, and invite you to share it with us as it unfolds over the next few months. We expect to update these pages as the project progresses. Please contact us with feedback or questions at design95@atg.apple.com. Thank you for your interest in our project!
