WebStar Logo Proposal
This is an alternate splash screen logo for Chuck Shotton's Mac HTTP server,
WebStar. The present logo has been found wanting by numerous members of the
MacHTTP_Talk community.
Colophon
I created this logo on 18 April, 1995 at about 7:02 AM. I believe that
it has a number of good qualities. I like the spareness of the design --
it gives a simultaneous impression of impact and mystery -- and
the clean greyscale palette means that no dithering is necessary for any display.
In addition, the star looks satisfyingly like the StarNine logo, with its *IX.
Image is an overscanned detail of a photographic print, altered with Photoshop 3.0.
Text is Lithos Bold and Apollo Italic/Italic Small Numbers.
