Department of Computer Science VI (Database Systems)

The IMMD VI is part of the IMMD, which is an institute of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. The IMMD VI is mainly concerned with research on database systems. Head of the IMMD VI is Prof. Dr. H. Wedekind, who is also spokesman for the SFB 182.

Research topics include cooperative databases, distributed data management, multimedia database systems, STEP/EXPRESS, scientific database management, and workflow management (Prof. Dr. S. Jablonski).
