Yahoo! Features
Features:
- What's Cool:
On this page, we present entries we think are cool.
In particular, we have selected specific categories within Yahoo!
in which we find amusing, extraordinary, or especially useful content.
- What's New: You can see
what we've added in the last week, along with the part of the
hierarchy in which they reside.
- What's Popular:
We list the top 50 most popular categories and files for the
time period indicated, along with number of times they have been accessed.
- Random Link:
a script provided by Ed Kubatis which picks a random link from
the Yahoo! database - give it a click and see where it takes you!
- Headlines:
Yahoo! provides the top headline news hourly, plus news in specific categories
such as Business, Entertainment, Sports, International, and U.S. Politics.
Legend:
- An [Xtra!] tag next to a Yahoo! category goes to our Reuters
newsfeed for that subject. Headlines, summaries, and full-text stories are
updated hourly.
- We have a ratings system. Sites with tags are ones we think have good presentation/content for their
respective topic area. Usually, you should check these sites first.
For example, see
the
Stocks page.
- A tag indicates that the
entry was added within the last three days.
If it appears next to a directory, it means that entries in that
directory's hierarchy have been modified in the last three days.
- An "@" tag appearing at the end of a category means that this heading
is listed in multiple places within the Yahoo! hierarchy. Clicking on the
heading will take you to the primary location in the hierarchy for that
heading.
- The numbers that appear in parentheses next to Yahoo! categories
represent the number of entries categorized under that subject heading.
The number does not include entries in any linked directories.
