Biography: VM Systems Programmer, not a Historian, however my
wife Sally is
a Graduate Student in the History Dep. here, has a Master in
Public Health,
dissertation topic, "Public Health in China, a Historical
Perspective".
Interests: Sally currently pursuing a PhD, interest is in Early
Modern,
especially Spain and it's "Provinces", Netherlands, Flanders,
etc.

B.A. in 1987 from Millikin University (Illinois); M.A. in 1989
from Purdue
University. Currently Ph.D. candidate at Purdue, expected
graduation, 1994.
My interests are diverse. My master's was in Elizabethan history,
Ph.D. will be in early modern Spanish history, focusing on the
reign of
Philip II. However, I am also interested in Latin American
and the
history,
especially the colonial period, and am teaching a modern American
history
survey course.
My methodological specialty is social/cultural history.
Aside from history, I enjoy music, poetry and, especially,
baseball.
