The Video Streamer

Eddie Elliot developed this video parcing tool at the MIT Media Laboratory under the supervision of Glorianna Davenport, Professor of the Interactive Cinema Group. What is a Video Streamer you ask?

The Video Streamer software allows the user to easily browse backwards and forwards through time. The cursor can be used to select any frame in the stack as a starting point. Audio tracks are keyed to the video frames, so that when the video is played backwards, the audio is played backwards at the correct rate while the words are spoken "forwards." A utility included with the Video Streamer arranges the pixel data into the six rectangles of a flattened shoebox. When printed, the data can be formed into a physical model. Don't do acid and play with this puppy.

Also, you shouldn't get too excited! We don't have the software for you to download yet. However, we do have some flattened Rolling Stones video streams you can print and fold into videoboxes. We recommend a good color Kodak Video Printer.
