(NYSE: SGI) and its third-party software developers convened today at the company's Developer Forum 1995 to explore how the latest Silicon Graphics technology will enable new generations of applications. From CASE tools through high-performance computing and designing the Digital Studio of the 21st Century, Forum sessions will foster leading-edge software to complement the full range of Silicon Graphics market solutions.

Throughout the week, Silicon Graphics' executives and engineers will discuss with independent software developers and internal developers for leading worldwide corporations new technologies that will enable the most innovative solutions. Of particular interest are technological advances in OpenGL, texture mapping, virtual reality modeling language (VRML) for the World Wide Web, high-performance computing and database management.
The Forum features a keynote presentation by Professor Carlo Sequin of the University of California, Berkeley's Computer Sciences Division on advanced 3D CAD technology. Also, Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, will host the Forum's Animation Festival highlighting a collage of the most recent and most creative demonstrations contributed by attendees. Eleven tracks covering the full range of Silicon Graphics technologies will be discussed in 62 technical sessions, 27 open labs and 75 hours of one-on-one consultation time.
