For the fourth quarter ended June 30, 1995, total revenues were $653 million, compared to $453 million in the year ago quarter, a 44% increase. Net income for the quarter was $53 million, or $.30 per common share (including a merger charge of $22 million, or $.11 per common share after tax), compared to $46 million or $.27 per common share in the fourth quarter of fiscal 1994.
Before the effect of its merger with Alias Research, Inc. and Wavefront Technologies, Inc., Silicon Graphics' revenues for fiscal year ended June 30, 1995 were $2.1 billion, an increase of 45% over the prior fiscal year. Net income increased to $232 million, or $1.44 per common share, compared to $141 million, or $.91 per common share, for the June 30, 1994 fiscal year. Net revenues for the fourth quarter of fiscal 1995 were $639 million, an increase of 47% over the fourth quarter of fiscal 1994 and an increase of 16% over the immediately prior quarter. Net income for the fourth quarter was $72 million, or $.44 per common share, an increase of 65% compared to $43 million, or $.28 per common share, for the three month period of the prior fiscal year.

Our reputation as one of the industry's most credible and innovative suppliers of computing technologies is increasing and we are well positioned to continue our current momentum in the coming fiscal year," concluded McCracken.At the end of fiscal 1995, the Company's balance sheet reflected stockholders' equity of $1.3 billion. The Company's cash and cash equivalents and marketable investments balance at June 30, 1995 was $780 million.
