Sleep Vision(c) is a software product that currently runs exclusively on the
Iris Indigo with Starter Video. Eight hours of video
and audio is captured on videotape whenever a movement or
sound is detected. The software is used to evaluate sleep and
breathing disorders in children. The videotaped image shows a patient
being studied in his or her own home, which is a big advantage. Below the child's
picture are displays for audio (breathing sounds are shown) and
movement. Each rectangle equals one second. Two periods of movement are shown in
yellow and yellow/red. Non-movement periods are in dark green.
Video and audio control panels allow replay of eight hours of
video at real time or in fast forward. In fast forward mode, it usually takes about 5
minutes to watch all of a night's movements. The system has proven
extremely helpful in understanding and diagnosing sleep and
breathing disorders.
