COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS
Strong winds around a high-rise building are very harmful for human
or commercial activity near the building. Before construction
of a new building in an urban area, contractors predict the flowfield
around the new building and determine suitable countermeasures
which decrease wind speed around the building. This shot is a scene
from a moving picture used in this analyzing stage. The flowfield
such as the velocity vectors and contour of absolute values of
velocity around the centered high-rise building were calculated by
means of CFD based on a k-e two equation turbulence model and visualized
by using postprocessing program Floweyes.
