10:30 am - Arrival of Francois Mitterrand - Current President of the Republique
- Review of the troups (Garde Republican)(F Mitterrand circles Arc in
command car -
not clear with/wo the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense)
10:40 am - End of review of the troups (arrives back at official tribune)
10:42 am - Reception of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense
and the
Chief of Staff of the armed forces (unless they're with him)
10:43 am - Honoring the flag
10:46 am - The Prseident goes to the Official tribune, invites the 'chefs
d'etat' and the government to accompany him to Arc de Triomphe

- Place of wreath by President, surrounded by the 'chefs
d'etat' and the government

- 'Refain' of the Marseillaise
('relighting' eternal flame)

11:00 am - Begin of show : 'animation' - 'quadrille des baionnettes
and army
choir sing - while troops leave Etoile, with foreign flags,
to take their
places for the military parade.
11:20 am - beginning of military parade:
- Passage of 'patrouile de France' - French Airforce Team
- Parade of guest states' flags in army vehicles
- Parade of marching troops - all French - want list? Includes 17
representative units, with Foreign Legion at end
- Military bands: Air Force, Ile de France command, Garde Republicaine,
and Navy.
Total troops: 2500+
- Passage of 'patrouile de France' "en eclate" - in bloom? with red
white blue smoke?
11:40 am - End of parade
11:43 am - President leaves tribune to go to lunch
11:45 am - noon - Depart of the 'chefs d'etat' and the government to go to
official lunch at Elysees Palace
12:00 - 12:30 - Official reception of the guests at the Elysees Palace
12:30 - 2:00 pm - Lunch
2:00 - 2:15 pm - The President 'salutes' his guests
