Force Française d'Interior - F.F.I.

The French Forces of the Interior were a Resistance network throughout France. It was a complicated organization with competing factions and ideas, united in the desire to overthrough the occupying German forces. Colonel Rol was the head of the Paris FFI. In the image above, FFI members in Paris arm themselves from a weapons depot the Germans had placed in a bank.

Beneath the arcade of the rue de Rivoli, a member of the FFI takes aim at a German position.
