Morning Star Technologies

We make wide-area communications products for low-cost Internet connectivity, branch office LAN integration, and telecommuting applications. Our SecureConnect firewalls feature the most secure traffic control in the business - here's why dynamic packet filtering is so different. Read the Dynamic Filter User Guide, which is available in PostScript (2,665,399 bytes), also compressed (400,788 bytes) and GnuZipped (261,522 bytes). Also see our new suite of network authentication tools, including the Morning Star Authentication Server!

Our widely-respected PPP/SLIP software runs on most popular UNIX systems, connecting hosts and IP networks over links ranging in cost and performance from dial-up async modems through dedicated T1/E1 synchronous leased lines. Our Express router line is the lowest-cost T1/E1-capable router in the market, and includes the features of our UNIX PPP software, plus optional Frame Relay connectivity, but in a compact dedicated router package.

Our Internet connectivity products provide all-important security features, such as a robust firewall packet filter (keeps prying eyes off your LAN), link peer authentication (verify the identity of the host on the other end of the wire), selective gateway encryption (ensures the privacy of all communications that traverse the Internet between your LAN and your branch offices and business partners), and other useful tools.
