Notes
At the start of season five, the main title sequence was slightly changed
with a 3-D effect on the programme title.
Patrick Stewart
had a new uniform with a red jacket on top of a grey jumper.
The fifth season is the only one not to have featured an episode with Q.
In the first true two-part story, Unification ,
Lenard Nimoy appears as Spock.

Episode Details
Picard risks all-out war with the Romulans when he involves Starfleet in a
Klingon civil war.
The crew are surprised when the Romulan Commander bears a striking resemblance
to Tasha Yar and claims to be her daughter.
The crew is rendered helpless when Picard is kidnapped and forced to go to
war with an alien captain.
What is the secret of communication with this race that has remained a
mystery?
Picard suspects a high-level Federation conspiracy when the crew is
ordered to locate the terrorist leader of a renegade race, the Bajorans,
dispossessed from their home world by the Cardassians.
Picard struggles to communicate with a mysterious, destructive force
before a visiting scientist can destroy it.
This is the crystalline entity from
Datalore.
While Picard is hosting the winners of a primary-school science contest, the
Enterprise is completely disabled by a rare natural phenomenon, leaving
Troi in command on the bridge.
The fate of the Federation is in Wesley Crusher's hands when he returns to
find the crew of the Enterprise addicted to a dangerous new game.
Picard meets with Sarek who is now very ill, and then with the help of the
Klingons, Picard and Data travel to Romulus to investigate an unauthorized
mission undertaken by the Federation's legendary Mr. Spock.
Picard and Mr. Spock clash over a proposed reunification of the Romulan
and Vulcan people.
Meantime, Riker and the Enterprise crew investigate a Ferengi arms dealer
who appears to be involved in the sale of a stolen Vulcan ship.
Picard's quest to save an endangered planet leads him to violate the Prime
Directive when he seeks advice from a visitor from the future.
Worf learns some painful lessons about parenting when his son Alexander
arrives to join his father on the Enterprise.
A young boy who is the sole survivor of a devistated ship becomes obsessed
with simulating Data.
The Enterprise then finds itself under attack from similar forces that
destroyed the other ship and the crew must discover the truth about
how the science vessel was destroyed.
Troi, Riker, and Dr. Crusher fall into unexpected comas while the
Enterprise plays host to an alien race with exceptional telepathic
powers.
The Enterprise discovers a gentically engineered human colony in the
path of a stellar core fragment. Will their assistance cause damage
to the carefully engineered society where every person is engineered
for their role in life?
When the crew loose their memories, they are thrust into an alien
war by a mysterious stranger on the bridge.
After an away mission goes wrong Troi, O'Brien and Data are possessed
by the spirits of wanted criminals who take hostages in Ten Foward in
their bid to use the Enterprise to escape from their prison.
Dr Crusher clashes with a visiting doctor who uses unethical practices
in her research. In the meantime, Worf struggles to deal with a
crippling injury.
While investigating the mysterious disappearance of a shuttle craft in
their star system, Riker falls for a alien without gender.
The Enterprise becomes trapped in a time loop, endlessly repeating the
same steps that end in the destruction of the Enterprise.
Picard returns to Earth to investigate a serious accident at starfleet
academy, and becomes convinced that Wesley is lying about what happened.
When Picard discovers the truth, Wesley must decide between protecting his
fellow cadets in their lies or telling the truth.
Lwaxana Troi clashes with her daughter over her approach to problems
between Worf and his son Alexander, while preparing herself for her forthcoming
wedding aboard the Enterprise.
After an accident in the cargo bays, the crew are shocked to discover
a woman who is to be a gift to the leader of another race.
With her tutor dead, Picard must take his place in training her for what is
to come, but can he avoid falling for her?
A little girl is surprised when her imaginary friend appears for real.
Soon the ship is in danger from an alien who has decided the human race
is cruel and should be destroyed.
The Enterprise discovers a crashed Borg scout ship with an injured
survivor. Dr Crusher insists on saving his life, despite the concerns
of the others.
She is shocked when she discovers that Picard intends to use him to
spread a virus to destroy the Borg completely.
Geordi and Ro are believed dead after a transporter accident which
occurs while helping a damaged Romulan ship. They find themselves
as ghosts, unable to influence the world around them.
An alien probe enters Captain Picard's mind and makes him experience the life
of a man called Kamin on a long dead planet.
Data's head is discovered in excavations of 19th century San Francisco.
During investigations into alien visitors travelling in time to 19th
Century Earth, Data gets pulled back into the past.
