(United Kingdom), and Siemens AG (Germany). The mission of ECRC is to pursue research in fundamental areas of Information Technology that are of strategic interest for the industry and to explore advanced application scenarios that will constitute the emerging global information infrastructure. As a member of the EBONE Internet backbone consortium, ECRC is also one of the main service providers offering access to the global Internet to commercial, research and academic organizations.
