Lewis
A. Friedland is an assistant in the School of Journalism and Mass
Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he
is an associate of the Mass Communication Research Center and
the head of the Broadcast Sequence. Before coming to Madison,
Friedland was executive producer at CBS affiliate WITI, Milwaukee.
His work has won national and regional awards, including the Society
of Professional Journalists Public Service Award in 1990. He remains
an active producer and program consultant with Wisconsin Public
Television
