The largest museum of technology and natural sciences in the world, with over 13 acres of exhibitions containing valuable original machines and equipment, models and reconstructions, from classical mechanics to telecommunications, from a reconstructed mine in actual size to the technology of space travel.

Germany's first IMAX cinema, in which films are shown on a screen 52 x 72 feet in size for a unique cinematic experience. Since Autumn 1993 the Forum includes the most modern planetarium in the world, with a dome 65 feet in diameter.

This vast building houses the paintings collected by the Wittelsbachs from the beginning og the 1500's. The building itself, built from 1826-1836, was designed by Leo van Klenze in the Venetial Renissance style. (Enterance fee: Combined ticket with the Neue Pinakothek--see directly below)
