Subject: Stones GET A BLACK EYE
I don't know who told the Stones that Chevy Chase Bank was a good backer for their Visa Card, but in my opinion it was a MAJOR MISTAKE. Image my surprise when I rec'd a letter stating I didn't qualify for their "Real" credit card, but I could get a "secured" visa card (you send us money), then we let you spend it). Since I already have 4 gold cards, and a discover card (all with realatively high limits), you'd think getting a RS Visa would have been a bit easier. Chevy Chase bank won't even call you back when you call for more info. Now, am I just a disgruntled Stones fan, or a) do I suspect a "plot" by CC Bank to get as many "dupes" as possible to send money (security deposits) for the privelge of owning a RS Visa. (This might include making their credit criteria so tough, that only 50 year executives with 30 years of credit could get a card.) b) do I wonder why the Stones would put there name on a card that has backing from a bank that has what I preceive to be a very poor customer-service. Anyhow, it would be interesting to know whether my credit rating just crashed out of the blue, or, as I expect, others who think they have a good credit rating were also declined credit unless they send CC Bank some cash upfront. Regards S Sparrow .. my opinions are mine only, the company only owns my work.... p.s. love stones.com, show it to all my customers.

Saw the boys twice in Edmonton, San Diego, twice in LA, Seattle and twice in my hometown of Vancouver (including Keith's Birthday Dec.18). What can I say, "The Greatest Rock N' Roll Band on Earth!!" Although the song sets were relatively similar, highlights were "Memory Motel," "Far Away Eyes" and having Mick wear my Stones hat in LA during "It's Only Rock N' Roll" on stage and then him throw it back to me in row 3! So long for now, I'll see the boys again in Europe.

Ventured into the Voodoo Lounge in August at Exhibition Stadium, Toronto. The Bad Boys of Rock showed why they have that title. This album is the best in at least 10 years. While they didn't play enough classics, their presentation was second to none. Hats off to the promoter, CPI. I got soaked in the downpour, but to see the Stones, I'd sit through a -40 blizzard. (Not to mention I had enough alcohol in me to fully destroy my liver. Anyone else who saw this show (Saturday night gig) please e-mail your comments to me at dtilley@public.compusult.nf.ca adios.

Dear Stones- I was dragged away by the neck at your show in the Kingdome in Seattle for dancing in the isle. Threatened with serious jail time if I didn't behave. This seems very unfair because how can anyone not get up and move to the knockout punch of Sympathy into Monkey Man into St.Fighting Man? Great Show. Thanks for playing Seattle.

I'm sure alot of you were as frustrated as I was about all the thuggish non-fans at the gigs last summer.. Obviously they didn"t understand the significance of what they were seeing.... !!!!But it was worth it of course...Didn"t it seem like Charlie got the loudest applause ? ( I saw Giants Sdm. II; Foxboro II, Pittsburgh)...???

I'd like to talk with others about the concerts. The Stones always play pretty much the same set every night with a few variations. I'm interested to know what "nuggets" they played. For example, they play "Satisfaction" every night, however one of the shows I saw, Mick & Lenny Kravitz did a duet of "No Expectations" it was worth the $50 bucks alone. Anything else from anyone? I thought the accoustic set from the pay per view concert was a dream ('Angie', 'Dead Flowers', and 'Sweet Virginia')! Thanks

Let me first make one thing absolutely clear - I love the Stones ! They were my first love musically, and my passion for them hasn't diminished in any way. However, what they ( and I place the majority of the blame at Jagger's door) is nothing short of repulsive ! This credit card business is the icing on the cake. What happened to the Street Fighting Man then ? I am not naive enough to beleive that he ever existed, but the level of hypocrisy is stunning. A Stones credit card. The fact that most people don't find the idea remotely strange just goes to show how shallow the whole Sixties thing was. Vive La Revolution !

The newspapers have said:"...the rolling stones assured that argentine public was the best one , they have never seen such an energetic public..." I said: these had been the best shows of rock and roll in the world and I´m very glad to know that the band like us too. As I´m writing I take my chance to ask you about the lips with the tounge of argentina´s flag. I saw it in the inicial page while the band was here. I would be very glad if you send me this ".gif" file. If I´m not wrong the stones are now in Santiago de Chile, but the tounge has the flag of New Zeland, what happened to Chile´s flag?

I have been searching for NADB-CAST's address on the Web for about two hours. The Crawl gave me a return that allegedly contained nadb+cast+archeology--but I couldn't find nadb there. I also couldn't find it on the Archnet, and my Mosaic Special link to cast is refused. Thank god, I finally find my old PAPERCOPY (that's hard copy to you computer people) of a letter I got from Bob Harris, where he sent me the hope page http address. But I wonder what other people do: has anyone ever really found nadb (not nagpra) on the Web by using the"Oh, it's so easy, no problem" (reminds me of my Numbers theory professor: 'Es ist trivial') WWW. You know, there is a world of praise out here for someone who would simply set up a net access that worked the way the rest of us do, e.g. the way we navigate around town or in a library or in books. In the meantime, I' ll keep cursing Windows (I'm sorry, I never learned how to read these weird(wierd) things in school, and I don't think it is either fun, funny or reasonable that black is white, etc.[If you don't know what I mean, look at a compying machine for the symbol for darker/lighter]) and just about everything having to do with computers beyond Fortran and BASIC and MathCad -- but keep on 'interacting' with them. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh. And another thing, why do my (rational ones such as requests for information, not like this diatribe) messages disappear from the net after one or two days, while flames can stay on burning ('We didn't start the fire')?

In order to follow the Stones you must be everywhere at once. But since the Internet, a change in music distrobution is occuring. Still nothing beats the good old live show, and a large chunk of the global population has gotten that in 1994 and 195, nevermind the other thirty years of the Rolling Stones. By the way, Ventilator Blues is great! Just a thought.

Subject: THE DOME?
Why are the Stones only playing at big stadiums? Why do the Stones have so many band "members" touring with them if they aren't actual band members. I just wish the Stones would attempt to recreate the '69 tour(even though it's humanlly impossible to recreate anything as amazing as that tour). The Stones were at their best back then. They had only the REAL Rolling Stones not all these back-up singers and stuff. As the great Keith Richards once said "give me a 3000-seat operah hall, a tele and good band and I could play forever. The only reason the stones play at the big domes is to feed Mick's ego" you how I respond to that? FUCK-YOU MICK, you rich selfish egotistical fucker

The ultimate party with the Stones is still going on in "You Oughtta See the View From Here." Story thus far: It's the Spring Equinox, 1970, and Mick and the boys (plus Anita and Marienne) have decided to get away from it all,go to France and hold a party to end all parties, inviting all of the grooviest people on the planet. Kenneth Anger is filming it, and you, Teleny Huxley, star reporter with the Underground News Syndicate, is reporting this historic event. We need input! Try to keep in period as much as possible, make it as sensual, wicked and glamourous as only the Stones are, and have fun! Feasting, frivolity, wine and strange drugs are only the beginning, what we need is the totally unexpected to happen! Let your imagination fly, and help Jenner and I write the parts that got left OUT of Spanish Tony's book!

Thanks you very much for this web page! I have never seen the Stones live, but your records have made my life better! Keith, thank you for all the great interviews over the years. The main reason I read musician interviews is to gather musical recommendations, and you have turned me on to many great records and performers. I fully agree with you that "Harlem Shuffle" is one of the finest 45s in existence. Is this your last tour? (heh-heh) Favorite album--Exile... Favorite songs--Gimme Shelter, Happy, Stray Cat Blues, Monkey Man, Thru and Thru, etc.etc.etc. Favorite Charlie Watts hair style--the latest one (by the way, am I the only one who thinks Charlie is looking better and better all the time? And we thought Mick and Keith had made a deal with SATAN! Song I'd most like to see put on the shelf for a while--Satisfaction Album cover most likely to be misunderstood--Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out (think about it) City the Stones should play an unannounced club date in after calling me--Austin, Texas!!! I think Voodoo Lounge is a terrific album: stay cool...

hi stones, i saw you all in indianapolis during the steel wheels tour. saw some of you, ron woods, and charly watts, while playing the juke box, somewhere prior to the concert. and saw kieth richards mick jagger, and charly watts at a roady party, afterwards, in some steakhouse. i think charly watts sat and talked a bit in our booth, and the girl i was with talked to mick's trainer awhile. it was all fun, and of course i am a stones fan, since before i started shaving and the 45 that was new at that time -i can't get no satisfaction i think the internet is great for music! while i usually play stones tunes in juke boxes, when i'm in the tavern, many times i'm dissappointed in the radio's lack of stones coverage. however, there is a radio station, in bloominton indiana, which sent out a letter, asking for opinions, and of course i gave mine! and of course, the first line was MORE STONES! and they played more stones, i was impressed. but that was a couple of years ago. ----they may still be, i just haven't listened to the radio that much lately. ==================================== so what i think is cool about the net is now musicians can market samples of their music, and market themselves, with really very little overhead. --------------------------------------- so music won't be so dominated by those who think they can make judements for us. ------------------------------------- as the web expands, over the next couple of years, i think this concept in marketing will continue to grow. and will change alot of stuff. ----------------------------------- so enough jabber.. --- visit my home page, i can note the stones all the time now!! it makes me happy! ---- also one of the music listing is really how but its really busy. did you guys list yourselves in the worldwide internet yellow pages? its free, if your not, why not. later... rob clements (always a stones fan) i want to thank you all for all the great music, thru all the time!

It's more than just a type mismatch in the tour dates. In the line for Prague (August 5) you write "Czechoslovakia". But, Czechoslovakia has been split to "Czechia" and "Slovakia" a few years ago. Prague is in Czechia. However, I must admit that it is hard for an American to keep track what's goin' in Europe:-).

Yo dudes!Keep up the good work.Tell Keef that Jimmy Hackett says hello and I want anyone who is sick enough to get in contact with me. I am into Rock, Metal and strange Phenomena and good drugs. I like good sex and movies about the future(Freejack included!). I don't care what anyone thinks Primitive Cool was a great album! I thought that Ned Kelly was also great! Nobody has the right to say anything bad about Bill Wyman! He is still great. I'll never forget the song Pussy from Monkey Grip. Charlie's jazz band is tremendous too! What really happened to Brian? I also think that Their Satanic Majesties Rule!!! Right, the Beatles were better than the Stones. Then why are the stones still rocking and the Beatles have long been buried! Why is Marianne Faithfull selling her story now? Must be out of scag money. I know it's only rock-n-Roll But I like it, yes I do! Yeah, I like it! Cant' you see that this poor boy is lonely? If I stick a knife in my heart,Suicide right on the stage would it be enough for your teenage lust? Would it help to ease your pain? at least you guys didn't charge $110 to see you like the Eagles!

Sorry to paraphrase, but thie this is the result of a long strange trip, is it not? As a chemistry professor, the Stones still give me hope and enjoyment during my office hours. Keep up the good work to stay on top of the multimedia explosion.

As I'm "only" 24 years of age, RS has not been of my knowledge before 3 years ago, when I suddently stumbled across a live album. Ever since I have been addicted to the one and only true rock'n'roll band of the world - Rolling Stones... I'm glad they're back - I'm looking forward to hear them play in Copenhagen in June 1995. The very day tickets were on sale - I ran in speed of lightning to the post office and bought two ticketts for me and my friend. See ya' in Copenhagen RS Niels Nybo Jensen

The site is excellent. Extremely detailed and professional. However, speaking purely as a Stones fan, is it possible to include loads of early stuff as well ? I'm really into the beginnings, the late sixties and the EXILE ON MAIN ST period so any pictures/articles etc. on/from these periods would be welcomed.

Subject: Some Questions
I'm really interested to know which Stones songs Jimmy Page and/or John Paul Jones play on? Jimmy is credited on "Dirty Work" while both of them get a mention on "Metamorphisis" but in both cases it isn't really clear what they might have played or arranged on. If you have any info on this I'd really be interested to hear it. Oh, by the way, this is a follow-up to your questions page, and thanks for adding it, Mick's answers were really interesting.

Lookit, guys, I liked the video that played here on public TV in Boston, on your history. I liked that you didn't downpress Brian nor Mick Taylor...always remember that some of us go so far back with you guys, that it's kinda fun to think of you all as a unit, a family of sorts. What you should do now, in my humble opinion, is JACK IT UP! start putting out singles, one new Stones single every 6 weeks, force the world to keep up, see? Hey, lesser bands like the Fall are putting out 3 CD's a year, some good and some not so good, but they JUST KEEP PUTTIN' IT OUT! The Stones are in a position to change the cycle of when you HIT! In essence, my suggestion is this, hit and hit and hit rawly! They will freak!

I just wanted to let off steam. I went to see the Stones back in November and wound up paying full price (Ticketmaster) for blocked view seats. I wound up paying $60 for a view of only 3/4 of the stage. Needless to say I felt quite ripped off! Especially when my Ticketmaster outlet posted a sign saying that no blocked view seats were being sold. Liar, liar, pants on fire! As usual a nice (but mad) letter received no response from them. Maybe the Stones could follow Pearl Jam's lead next time out! I was 12th in line and got lousy tix!
