Directed by Melanie Mayron, the film stars Ellen Burstyn, Brooke Adams, Bruce Davison and Peter Horton. The baby-sitters are Schuyler Fisk, Bre Blair, Rachael Leigh Cook, Zelda Harris, Tricia Joe, Larisa Oleynik and Stacey Linn Ramsower. Cokie is played by Marla Sokoloff, Bebe is played by Ashlee Turner, Grace is played by Natanya Ross. The boys are Austin O'Brien as Logan, Aaron Metchik as Alan and Christian Oliver as Luca.
Jane Startz and Peter O. Almond are the producers, with Marc Abraham, Armyan Bernstein, Thomas A. Bliss, Martin Keltz and Deborah Forte serving as executive producers. Tina Stern is co-producer. Dalene Young wrote the screenplay based on the book series by Ann M. Martin. The director of photography is Willy Kurant ("China Moon"), with production design by Larry Fulton ("The Little Rascals"). Christopher Greenbury ("Dumb and Dumber") served as editor. David Michael Frank ("Poison Ivy") is the composer.
