In addition to "THE BABY-SITTERS CLUB," Executive Producer MARTIN KELTZ also executive produced this year's Paramount Pictures fantasy "The Indian in the Cupboard."
In 1983, Keltz was named president of Scholastic Productions after serving as executive director of the company since 1979. He also serves as corporate vice president of Scholastic, Inc., the parent company, which he joined in 1978 to help form Scholastic Productions.
Prior to his work at Scholastic, Keltz was the publisher of Media and Methods magazine where he played a leadership role in promoting audio/visual applications in education. He then went on to become vice president of the magazine's parent company, North American Publishing Co. He was national sales manager of E.Y.R. Programs, which distributed first-run feature films for college campus use.
An educator, Keltz taught English at Brentwood East Junior High School, where he also served as English Department chairman.
