----- In 1989, Executive Producer MARC ABRAHAM formed Beacon Communications with partner Armyan Bernstein. Beacon's first film, "The Commitments," directed by Alan Parker, was nominated by the Golden Globe Awards for Best Picture in 1991, and went on to win four British Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Abraham also spearheaded the formation of Beacon Records, which has released five soundtracks that have sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

----- Beacon's second film, "A Midnight Clear," starring Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise, garnered an Independent Spirit Award nomination. Abraham recently executive produced a co-venture with Turner Pictures, David Mamet's screen adaptation of "A Life in the Theatre," starring Jack Lemmon and Matthew Broderick, which won a Cable ACE Award for best dramatic or theatrical special. Also in 1994, Beacon released "Sugar Hill," starring Wesley Snipes, the Phoebe Cates-Kevin Kline starrer "Princess Caraboo" and Alan Parker's "The Road to Wellville," starring Anthony Hopkins.

----- Mr. Abraham has worked as a sportswriter for such publications as the "L.A. Times" and "Golf Magazine." He has written two books on the International Olympic Games for Universal Press and authored several screenplays for companies such as Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros. and CBS. He wrote for the TV series "21 Jump Street" and "Moonlighting" and in 1990 won a Writer's Guild Award for "The Earth Day Show."
