When I was 8 years old I auditioned at an open call and was cast in "Les Miserables" in San Francisco. After that I took acting lessons and got a guest role on "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." I did the voice for young Odette in the animated movie "Swan Princess," co-starred in a movie-of-the-week called "River of Rage," and made a commercial. I also play Alex in "The Secret Life of Alex Mack" on Nickelodeon.
My role models are Kellie Martin, Claire Danes and Winona Ryder. I like volleyball, soccer and hanging out with my friends. I like all kinds of music, even classical, but especially alternative rock.
I wanted to be part of "THE BABY-SITTERS CLUB" because I knew that there would be a lot of girls my age working on the movie and I'd make some lifelong friends (and I have!). Also, I read the books when I was younger and loved the character of Dawn. She is the environmentalist of the group and very opinionated, but also very friendly. She's always been my favorite.
Melanie Mayron, the director, is really rad. It's cool because she is an actress and she knows how to relate to us in that way. Because she's a girl she can relate to us on that level too. We've had a bunch of scenes where we've had to cry. Most of the time what made me cry was just thinking about how I'm gonna hate leaving everyone. When we were supposed to find Kristy and be all sad, I just thought 'what if it were really Schuyler?' I'd be so upset because we've all become really close. It's been a lot of fun.
