1. Insert LightWave CD
2. Double click LightWave3D icon
3. Read the Read Me in the NewTek folder!
4. Double click install LightWave3D
5. If there is not an OK button on the LightWave splash screen, hit return
6. Press OK to continue
7. Drag the Install LightWave icon onto the hard drive where you want to install LightWave. Make sure that the name of your hard drive does not have any spaces.
8. Wait while LightWave installs
9. Click quit
10. Double click the hard drive where you installed LightWave3D
11. Open the NewTek folder
12. Double click on Config Maker application
13. Select Config File from File menu on top menu bar
14. Go to Newtek:Programs and then find LWConfig
15. Open LWConfig (you will not find anything inside, but the data will be transfered)
16. Select Config File again from File menu on top menu bar
17. Go to Newtek:Programs and then find Lightwave Modeler Prefs
18. Open Lightwave Modeler Prefs (you will not find anything inside, but the data will be transfered)
19. Select "quit" from File menu
20. Open the Programs folder within the NewTek folder
21. Double click LWConfig
22. Find "ContentDirectory", about 4 lines down from top
23. Type a path to the NewTek folder after the words "ContentDirectory, ie: ContentDirectory HardDrive:Newtek
24. Save the changes and close the window
25. Open the Programs folder of the NewTek folder
26. Open your System folder and find the Preferences folder
27. Hold down the "option" key and drag "LW Modeler Prefs" from the Programs folder into the Preferences folder.
28. You're done! Launch LightWave and have fun.
