Event Failed to Occur at the Requested Time

Problem: On attempt to play a project, playback quits with the error message, "Event Failed to Occur at the requested time".

This error occurs when an item such as an effect, Framestore, or a CG page does not have enough time to load, after a previous load or keying event. As an example, most effects take about three seconds to load. If the user attempts to display a clip or still for less than three seconds, with an effect both before and after the clip or still, the effect after the clip will not have sufficient time to load, and will produce the error message.

This will also happen with a CG page. Key, scroll, or crawl CG pages will normally require about three seconds to load after the clip they are to play over begins, and if an effect is to follow, there will need to be at least three seconds of clip after the CG page is taken off before an effect could be executed. Timing will vary depending on the Amiga controller used and the hard drives used on the Amiga system.

The solution is to change the sequence to allow proper load time between each event that must load in from the Amiga drives.
