What Benefits do I receive by registering my NewTek Product?
1) Technical Support: We now require that you be registered before you receive technical assistance with your NewTek product. If you have just purchased the product, and need assistance, you can call the Technical Support line and receive instructions for faxing in a copy of your registration, and once that has been done the Technical Support staff can assist you with your problems. 2) Product warranty and repair: NewTek will only repair registered products, and will only recognize warranty on registered products.
3) Free maintenance updates: From time to time, NewTek ships free software updates to registered product owners. These are maintenance updates that correct problems that you may encounter in the software, but we often also add a useful new feature or two to these maintenance updates. If you are not registered, we have no way to know how to send them to you.
4) Upgrade ordering: When we make product upgrades available for purchase, only registered owners can order them.
5) Discount programs: From time to time, NewTek will make our products available at special discount prices. Nearly always, these are special prices that only registered owners are offered.
6) Newsletters and mailings: NewTek sends special notices and mailings to registered customers. These may include information on future upgrades and on new products, and on special pricing programs for registered owners. NewTek is currently planning to begin a quarterly newsletter for registered product owners, with the first issue expected in late 1997. These will include product information, hints and tips for getting the most out of your product, and technical notes.
Is the information I submit with registration confidential?
Yes. NewTek prides itself on keeping the registered customers' information confidential, so your contact information is never given out to other companies, for any reason. At times you may receive mailings from NewTek which relate to new product information or training seminars provided by other companies, which would be of interest to our product owners, but your contact information is never released. All mailings are strictly monitored.
What is the procedure for registering products?
The first and most important thing to do is to completely fill out the registration card that came with your NewTek product, and mail it immediately. If the product needs to be registered immediately, you can fax or email the registration information. When faxing, please fill out the card completely and make a photocopy of the card, then fax the photocopy. If emailing or faxing a written statement, you will need to include your Name, Address, Phone number, Serial Number of product, and Date of Purchase. You must submit a street address, NewTek cannot register products to a PO Box address.

Can registration be transferred?
Yes, registration of NewTek products is transferrable in most situations. If you buy a previously-owned NewTek product, you should ask the seller for an invoice or a bill of sale, and for a letter of release of registration. Both of these should cite the serial number of the product. The letter should include the name, address, and phone number of the previous owner. These materials should be faxed to Customer Service. If you have purchased a used NewTek product, but did not receive an invoice or bill of sale, you can fax or email a statement which includes name, address, and phone number of both you and the previous owner, and the serial number of the product, along with a brief message explaining the transfer. Note: If you sell your NewTek product, please provide the purchaser with an invoice and a letter of release, as described above.

Where do I find an educational dealer?
Educational sales of NewTek products are handled through a network of dealers who work with our educational sales distributor, Academic Distribution. If you are outside the United States, contact the distributor for your country or region. How do I find out about special programs for product owners, such as discounts on other NewTek products?
Customer Service can provide this information, by phone, fax, mail, or email. NewTek also provides such information in the NewTek Shopping Network section of our Web page. For you to be able to order under one of our special purchase programs, you will need to be registered, and you will need to provide your serial number when you call to order.
Where do I buy updates for my products?
You should contact your regular NewTek dealer to purchase updates.
What other types of information can Customer Service provide?
