Sound and Resource Tab does not show up in Device Manager

Issue: The Sound and Resource Tab does not show up in Device Manager for the SNDCRD006AAWW, SNDCRD006ABWW, SNDCRD006ACWW or SNDCRD006ADWW Sound Cards. Be sure to check these part numbers against your invoice before following through with this procedure.
Resolution:Follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

Verify real-mode drivers are not being loaded in the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT.
Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, and then open the System icon to look at Device Manager.
Look down the list in Device Manager for an unknown device menu listing designated by a yellow question mark. If there is one, remove the device after verifying it is not needed.
Remove most items in Sound, Game and Video controllers except the Game controllers if it is there.
Do not restart the system if prompted. Close Device Manager.
Open Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel. If the Ensoniq Soundscape is in the list of installed programs, highlight it and remove it.
Open Explorer, click and drag the Sndscape folder to the recycle bin if one is there.
Open the Windows folder in Explorer, and delete all files that start with sndscape.
Open the Windows\System folder in Explorer and delete all files that start with sndscape, ssvivo or sscpvivo and if found, the file scope.cod.
Restart system, and verify all CMOS settings are correct, keeping in mind your system configuration.
Let the system continue to restart. Choose driver provided by manufacturers disk when prompted, making sure the correct and most current driver version is being used.
