Adapter Hardware is Already in Use Error Message with TranXit

Issue: When the 32 bit infrared drivers are enabled in Windows® 95A or the file W95IR.EXE from Microsoft® is loaded, TranXit 2.01.03 stops working. The Windows 95 protected mode infrared drivers take control over the port and other applications such as TranXit which cannot get access to the infrared port. When customers go into Connection Status inside of TranXit, the connection will say:
Adapter hardware is already in use.
Resolution: Customers need to go into Control Panel, click on the Infrared icon, click on the Options tab, and take the check mark off of Enable infrared communication on Com X (where X is the infrared comport). Then close out TranXit, and go back into TranXit. The application will now function.
