Issue: This IRR lists External Video Refresh Rates for Gateway Solo systems using Windows For Workgroups 3.11.The parts included are:
CHSCBK010AAWW, CHSCBK010ABUS, CHSCBK010ACUS, CHSCBK012AAWW, CHSCBK012ABWW, CHSCBK012ACWWFYI: The different refresh rates can be selected inside of Control Panel in the CHIPS CPL icon. The monitor selected should be 004, Hitachi CM2187M with the NI=NON-INTERLACED and I=INTERLACED:

When the setting is set to External Only, both the SVGA and VGA units are 640x400 70Hz Non-Interlaced
When using the SVGA unit and the setting is both, the resolution is 800x600 56Hz Non-Interlaced on both the internal screen and the external screen.
When using the VGA unit and the setting is both, the resolution is 640x480 60Hz Non-Interlaced on both the internal screen and the external screen.
Older BIOS versions do not support either 1024x768x16 or 1024x768x256 on external monitors. BIOS version 1.07 (SOLOB107.EXE) is available for downloading from the Gateway 2000 FTP site. This will increase the available resolutions.
