Problems Loading Adaptec® 2940 After Reinstalling Windows NTTM

Issue: When re-installing Windows NT version 3.51, after formatting or deleting, the Adaptec Ultra 2940 Controller Card does not properly load. The installation will produce a screen dump with the "Inaccessible Boot Device" error message. This is because the 2940 driver packaged with NT does not support the 2940 Ultra controller.

Resolution: The Ultra 2940 Controller Card requires the use of the Adaptec Windows NT diskette to reload the correct drivers. To install correctly, do a Custom setup of Windows NT, and when selecting the controller, use the NT driver on the disk provided for the 2940U.
