Anomaly of Vibra 16 PNP and STB^® TRIO 32 Combination

Issue: An anomaly may be seen when the Vibra 16 Plug and Play Sound Card (part number SNDCRD005AAWW) and the STB Trio 32 Video Card (part number VIDPCI006ABWW) have been combined in a system. When the Sound Blaster Configuration icon is clicked, a message appears saying, "Use The ICU Utility Program To Set Up The Vibra 16 Card." If you click the OK button and then later open the STB Control Panel Icon to change video resolution, the various resolution options appear grayed out and are unavailable.

Resolution: A new CTCONFIG file that corrects this anomaly is available for download from the Gateway 2000^® FTP site. After downloading the CTCONFIG.EXE, it must be moved to the C:\VIBRA16\WINAPPL directory and extracted. The old file needs to be overwritten with the new file. Once this is done, the anomaly listed above will disappear.

Note: The manufacturing department has added this revised file to new systems eliminating this anomaly.
