Installing and Configuring Tranxit 2.0 on LibertyTM and Gateway SoloTM Computers in Windows 95

This installation assumes that the transfer medium used is Infrared devices, either the internal infrared on the Gateway Liberty or Gateway Solo computers, or the IR Module for Desktop. The default COM port setting for the Infrared device is COM 2. Verify that the COM port settings are correct before the installing the software. The 9-pin serial port is disabled in CMOS or System Setup on Gateway desktops that ship with a modem. The default settings for most modems is COM 1, IRQ 4. The first port must be set at COM 2, IRQ 3 before configuring the desktop. For information on entering CMOS, or any other information on the system, consult the documentation referencing that system. Although COM 3 and COM 4 may be available, the possibility of interrupt conflicts needs to be taken into consideration. Consequently, set up the program at the defaults. Once it is operating properly, change settings as necessary.

Note: The TranXit 2.0 software must be installed on Both the desktop and portable computers. The software must be running before any data transfer software will work on the systems.
