Windows® 95 Installation

  1. The internal CD-ROM drives are ATAPI 1.2 compliant. This allows Windows 95 to detect the drive when the system is started. Drivers do not need to be installed to configure this drive in Windows 95.
  2. To view the drive properties, right click the My Computer icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Click the word Properties on the menu that appears on the screen.
  3. Across the top of the System Properties screen are four tabs: General, Device Manager, Hardware Profiles, and Performance. Click the Device Manager tab to view this information.
  4. In the upper left hand corner of Device Manager, by default, the View devices by type option is bulleted. From the list of devices previewed in the window, click once on the + symbol beside CDROM. The Teac CD-46E is shown as the installed CD-ROM drive.
