Description: The BeBBS will be a full featured package, including all of the
features found in most commercial bbs packages on other
plateforms. BeBBS will also ship with a full suite of online
Internet connectivity utilities, to provide FULL ISP functionality
with minimal setup time.
It will be a native BeOS application, thus providing advanced
crash protection not found in any other plateforms.
Developers are welcome, the system will have an open development
package, free to anyone to write BeBBS games, programs, doors,
or connectivity programs. Currently we are still accepting
beta test applications, but have only room for 2-3 more. The
original BeBBS beta team will *NEVER* be charged an upgrade
fee for the software once 1.0 is released! Like Be Inc. we know
the value of good developers.

Description: BeBoard will be a Bulletin board program for the Be. It will impliment Boards and Chat rooms. Right now I am writing it using Obj-C on a NeXT for a class project and will move it over to the Be ASAP. It will feature multi-user level Chat rooms and Boards.
Hopefully when done it will work both as a GUI client and also accept telnet clients so any machine can connect.

Description: BeIRC (I'm gonna change the name to BezIRC [pronounced Bezerk] when I'm done... hehehe) will be a full featured IRC application that will allow you to connect to an IRC server with identd, and talk via channels. Downloads will be possible through DCC. I intend to make an automatic join to #befiles (Dalnet) for users of BeOS to swap files. This will allow for communication between developers and allow me to get feedback on the project. I might release some betas to friends over June to see what they think about the interfacebut for now its non-existent. This will hopefully become the BeOS standard for IRC communcations, as I have worked with nearly all IRC apps and now what they should be like and I know what users want to see. I will have support for video, CTCP commands, and other commands and goodies so users won't feel left out. It will most likely be a very successful app, with its low cost and high end interface .I'm currently looking at a bryce-esque interface.

Description: Matrix is a package of Internet Servers. It includes :
* BeGate - BeGate is a new TCP/IP protocol stack for the BeOS. It is not a port, but is made especially from scratch to take the most of the BeOS.
* Universal Information Server - The U.I.S. (Codenamed Library) is a very unique server that allows you to access information using several different protocols. It uses agent to retrieve info and services to supply it. For example, you can use a POP3 agent that will retrieve your mail, filters it, and delivers it to to your HD, you could then access them in your favorite way, IMAP, POP3, or even using HTML

BeGate will have to restarted from scratch due a HD crash some months ago. Development of it will only restart when I get DR9 due to the new plugin architecture of BeOs Network Server.
The Java version of Librarian is in an advanced state and a Beta version will be available soon. The BeOS version should be out in a few months.

Description: Jat is available for a wide variety of web server platforms including BeOS. The 40k Java-based client is launched as a separate floating window, thus freeing the users' web browser. The client allows users to adjust font size, change rooms, and exchange private messages. Another feature is the scrolling, hot-linked ad banner. A unique URL can be attached to every banner which will display in the users' web browser.
Webmaster can specify whether users can create their own rooms or give a user moderator privileges. The server also keeps an activity log recording user information which can then be analyzed to generate traffic reports. Chat transcripts can be captured to a local file for later transcription.
